Comprised primarily of time lapse and landscape photography, Grønlapse is a non-verbal artistic depiction of traveling Greenland via Expedition Cruise Ship. The film documents massive icebergs, the Ilulissat glacier movement through time lapse and transits through Greenland's endless fjords in the south and east of the island. The film also captures the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights in all it's glory, exploding the dark skies into green and blue masterpieces. Photographed and edited by New Zealand Photographer Richard Sidey, traveling on Silversea's expedition vessel, The Silver Explorer, with a stunning experimental music track from Boreal Taiga. HD Documentary | Greenland The Melting Point | Nature Documentary 2015 The Antarctic ice sheet is one of the two polar ice caps of the Earth. It covers about 98% of the Antarctic continent and is the largest single mass of ice on Earth. It covers an area of almost 14 million square km (5.4 million sq. miles) and contains 26.5 million cubic km of ice (6.36 million cubic miles). That is, approximately 61 percent of all fresh water on the Earth is held in the Antarctic ice sheet, an amount equivalent to about 70 m of water in the world's oceans. In East Antarctica, the ice sheet rests on a major land mass, but in West Antarctica the bed can extend to more than 2,500 m below sea level. Much of the land in this area would be seabed if the ice sheet were not there. In contrast to the melti...

We always have to keep in mind that a Documentary, after all, can tell lies and it can tell lies because it lays claim to a form of veracity which fiction doesn't. Some of the documentaries are made just to discredit some particular person, party, organization, system etc, but most of them here on TDF are non biased, without prejudice and worth watching.
Greenland Cruising 2016 - Travel by cruise ship to Greenland - Greenland Scenic Cruising (HD 1080p) When you've seen the world there's always Greenland' goes the old travellers' saying. But why wait till then? Greenland is not a cheap destination, but few places combine such magnificent scenery, such clarity of light and such raw power of nature. Vast swaths of beautiful, unfenced wilderness give adventurers unique freedom to wander at will, whether on foot, by ski or by dogsled. With virtually no roads, transportation is expensive, but splurging on helicopter and boat rides is worth every penny. These whisk you over truly magnificent mountainscapes and glaciers or through some of the planet's most spectacular fjords. Greenland also offers world-beating but charmingly uncommercialised opp...
This is a fantastic video of my flight over the icy landscape of greenland in the summer. (close to the north pole)
Today’s flight is from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport AMS to Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport IAH on N77012, a Boeing 777-200ER delivered to Continental Airlines in August, 1999 My final destination is Buenos Aires Ezeiza (EZE), including a layover of 7 hours at IAH. United has some senior cabin attendants who are really nice people. Despite arriving one hour late, that flight was excellent with a good in-flight service in economy class. One cabin attendant even disguised herself as Rudolph the red nosed reindeer prior to landing. She seemed to be having fun as the passengers with her performance. Honestly, a 10-hour long flight during daylight can be quite tiresome and boring. In this case the good point was that we were flying over some unique landscapes. This westbound fligh...
